We use does with have in a question to ask about the possession of something. You learned to use ‘do’ with ‘have’ to ask questions when it is referred to the subjects – I, we, you, and they in the lesson- Use of do with have.

We use ‘does’ for ‘he’,’ she’, ‘it’ or any third-person singular noun in the present.

Formation of a question using ‘does and have’

We use ‘does’ with ‘have’ in this sentence to ask a question.

When we ask a question, we should use ‘does’ at the start of a sentence.

So, the formation of a question is as follows:

  • Does + subject (he/she/it/any other singular noun) + have + other words + question mark (?)
