In the previous lesson, we learned how to answer in an affirmative sentence. In this lesson, we shall learn how to answer in a negative sentence.
Formation of a negative answer
In this formation, we use 'not' with 'is'.
So, the formation of a negative answer is as;
- No, + subject ( he/she/is/ any singular noun) + is + not + remaining words.
In brief, we can say-
- No, + subject + isn’t.
- No, he isn’t.
- No, she isn’t.
- No, it isn’t.
