When we speak to others, we should follow some good manners by using some polite words in our speech. By using basic good manners, we show respect to others.
In speaking, when we use the words-
- Saying ‘please’ shows consideration for others to whom we speak. It shows your politeness.
- ‘Thank you’ shows gratitude and appreciation when you receive something.
- ‘Excuse me’ shows consideration for others to whom you speak. Sometimes, we want to interrupt someone; you can say, “Excuse me,” and continue to express your thoughts.
- Asking questions to get permission for something shows your good behaviour.
- Reciprocating someone shows your feelings for others, like replying to a question about how you are and asking how they are.
- ‘Pardon me’ shows acknowledgement of the mistake you have made.
