In this lesson, we shall learn the use of 'those' in negative sentences.

Use of 'those' to form a negative sentence

The formation of this sentence is as;

  • Those + are/ were + not + other words.
  • Those + subject + are/ were + not + other words.

Here are some examples. The formation is as above.

  1. Those oranges are not fresh.
  2. Those were not writing papers and pencils. 
  3. Those are not automatic calculators.
  4. Those were not garlands of flowers.
  5. Those children are not mischievous.
  6. Those mountains were not very steep.
  7. Those huts are not at the bank of the river.
  8. Those were not the books I needed.
  9. Those are not my phones.
  10. Those were not your watercolour bottles.
  11. Those were not selected oil paintings.
  12. Those trees are not in the mountains.
  13. Those students are not serious about their studies.
  14. Those cycles are not useful for handicaps.
  15. Those insects were not very small.
  16. Those women are not trained nurses.
  17. Those are not her documents.
  18. Those books are not available in a library.
  19. Those were not damaged pieces of a blanket. 
  20. Those designs were not very attractive.
  21. Those are not the computers of my son.
  22. Those are not the assets of the company.
  23. Those chairs are not very expensive.
  24. Those students are not in the sixth standard.
  25. Those dresses are not for ICSE students.
  26. Those wallets are not of leather.
  27. Those bags were not blue in colour.
  28. Those utensils were not clean.
  29. Those are not computer accessories.
  30. Those girls were not beautiful.
