In this lesson, we shall learn how to form affirmative answers about continuous action using ‘was’.

Construction of an affirmative answer using ‘was’

The structure of an affirmative answer is as follows;

  • Yes, + subject + was + present participle (-ing form) of the main verb + other words.

In brief, we can say-

  • Yes, + subject + was.
