In this lesson, we shall learn the use of 'these' in negative sentences.

Use of 'these' to form a negative sentence

In this sentence, we should use 'not' with 'are' that is 'are not'.

The formation of this sentence is as;

  • These + are/ were + not + other words. (the rest of the words)
  • These + subject + are/ were + not + other words.

Here are some examples. The formation is as above.

  19. These are not men's wear.

  23. These are not whiteboards.

  25. These TV channels are not the best.
  26. These bags are not attractive.
  27. These bags are not handmade.
  28. These utensils are not clean.
  29. These are not girls’ clothes.
  30. These boys are not handsome.
