To tell about continuous action.

In the sentence was used with another verb.

In these sentences we use was as a helping verb with the main verb. We should use the present participle of the verb that was -ing form of a verb. The sentence will be in the form-

I / He/ she/ it/ any singular subject + was + ing form of main verb.
