Indefinite Pronouns with Examples
Indefinite Pronouns are the pronouns which refer to things or persons in a general way but not in particular. Indefinite pronouns can be used as countable nouns or uncountable nouns.
Some of the common indefinite pronouns are-

Indefinite pronoun is used to avoid repetition of noun.
Indefinite Pronouns- List and Use
We shall see list and use of indefinite pronouns with the help of examples. Most Indefinite pronouns are either singular or plural but some indefinite pronouns can be used as both singular and plural. The most common indefinite pronouns are used in the examples given below.
Keep in mind that singular indefinite pronoun is used with singular verb and plural indefinite pronoun is used with plural agreement.

Indefinite pronouns used as Singular

Indefinite pronouns are used as plural indefinite pronoun.
Plural Indefinite pronouns are in green colour.
- I like both tea and coffee.
- Many were present at that moment.
- Few didn’t understand that example.
- Several commuters preferred to travel by bus.
Indefinite pronouns used as Singular/ plural
Indefinite pronouns are used as singular/ plural indefinite pronoun.
Singular/ plural indefinite pronouns are in green colour.
- Most have gained.
- Most is thrown.
- More are using this.
- There is more on the table.
- All are present.
- All is warned.
- Are any attending the class?
- Is any absent?
- None is absent today.
- None have attended the extra class of Maths.
Most of these words also can be used as Indefinite Numeral Adjectives; as,
- Any wise can go through it.
