How to Use Am to Describe Negative Continuous Action

Now, we shall learn how to use ‘am’ to talk about continuous action in negation.

In this sentence, ‘am’ is used with another verb.

In these sentences, we use ‘am’ as a helping verb with the main verb.

We should use the present participle of a verb, the ‘-ing’ form, and the word ‘not’ for negation.

Construction of a negative sentence using ‘am’

The sentence will be in the form:

• I + am +not + (present participle) -ing form of the main verb + other words + full stop (.)
