Transformations of Tenses

 

We shall take one sentence and transform it in all twelve tenses.

Present tense

  1. Simple present tense  

    Students play in the ground.

  2. Continuous present tense

    Students are playing in the ground.

  3. Perfect present tense

    Students have played in the ground
    .

  4. Perfect imperfect present tense

    Students have been playing in the ground.

 Past tense

  1. Simple past tense

    Students played in the ground.

  2. Continuous past tense

    Students were playing in the ground.

  3. Perfect past tense

    Students had played in the ground.

  4. Perfect imperfect past tense

    Students had been playing in the ground.

 Future tense

  1. Simple future tense

    Students will play in the ground.

  2. Continuous future tense

    Students will be  playing in the ground.

  3. Perfect future tense

    Students will have played in the ground.  

  4. Perfect imperfect future tense

    Students will have been playing in the ground.
