Use of ‘do’

Do is used with pronouns I, we, you, they or any plural noun.

We use 'do' as helping verb to ask question in present tense.

We can use do -

  1. as main verb
  2. to form a negative sentence
  3. ask question
  4. to show certainty of the description

Use of 'Do' as Main Verb

  • We can use 'do' as main verb after the subject.

Formation is as;

Subject (I/we/you/they/any plural number)+ do + remaining words.

  • We can use 'do' as main verb at the beginning of the sentence.

Formation is as;

Do + remaining words
